Dussehra Celebrations

"In life where there is only knowledge but no love and compassion then one becomes egoistic."

Mahishasura and Ravana personify worldly personalities who run after the materialistic things and have prominent characteristics like lust for power, women and greed.

The vices of two demons were well expounded by the students of MPSFG on the occasion of Durga asthmi and dussehra putting across the message that Mahishasura and Ravana are actually our  inner demons. They are embodiments of ego and arrogance.

The Tiny Tots exhibited the nine incarnations of Maa Durga and how Mahishasura met his end for his evil actions.

A street play was also staged by the students to throw light on the status of women in society and talked about their empowerment in true sense.

The most significant part of celebration was the burning of Ravana's effigy, an effigy that needs a special mention as it was made of best out of waste, a collaborative endeavour of art department teachers and students of MPSFG, a clear presentation of cleanliness of thoughts and surroundings on this dussehra.

Principal ma'am, Mrs. Harjinder Kaur encouraged the students to imbibe the qualities of Lord Rama and abstain from evil actions to live a meaningful life.
